The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, along with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, is expected to power the Xiaomi 14.
The Xiaomi 14 series is scheduled for launch on October 26, as confirmed in a prior Weibo post by the company. However, Xiaomi has not yet officially revealed the specific smartphones in this lineup, which are expected to include a standard Xiaomi 14 and a Xiaomi 14 Pro, likely succeeding the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, respectively. Numerous rumors about the specifications and camera capabilities of these upcoming devices have circulated. Now, Xiaomi has provided a glimpse of the Xiaomi 14’s design in a teaser ahead of its launch on October 26, sharing images of the smartphone. It has been confirmed that the device will feature a 6.36-inch ultra-narrow edge flat display screen and will be available in at least a white color variant. Additionally, the smartphone will showcase a Paris nail texture design, and the company has also shared some camera samples from the upcoming device.
In another post, Xiaomi’s Phones Product Manager, Cici Lao Wei, has revealed that the Xiaomi 14 will feature “an extremely narrow four-edge design.” The bottom bezel will measure just 1.71mm, while the other three sides will have bezels measuring 1.61mm each, making them even slimmer than those on the iPhone 15 Pro.
According to a previous report, the Xiaomi 14 is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, paired with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. It is anticipated to house a 4,600mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
As seen in the images shared by the company, the smartphone will feature a triple rear camera setup arranged in a square module at the top-right corner of the back panel. This camera system is reported to include a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor.
