Apple stated that the Foxconn-operated factory is operating at “significantly reduced capacity.” It warned that it would ship fewer units and that customers would have to wait longer to order devices.
Apple’s warning raises the possibility that it will sell fewer iPhones in the December quarter due to a manufacturing shortage. Last month, it warned of slowing growth in the December quarter.
It said there is still strong demand for the affected models, which are more expensive than other iPhone models and start at $999 and $1099.

China has ordered lockdowns in Zhengzhou, where Apple manufactures the majority of its iPhones, in the last week. According to Reuters, the factory in China has dealt with employees fleeing the facility due to Covid policies and outbreaks.
