The first premium curved-screen smartphone from the firm, the , has been introduced.
Itel has recently introduced the Itel S23+ in Ethiopia. This latest smartphone offering from the manufacturer features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED curved display. It is reportedly equipped with a Unisoc T616 chipset, paired with a maximum of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device also employs ROM to virtually extend the RAM capacity to 8GB. It boasts a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
Itel has not yet disclosed the pricing and availability details for the Itel S23+. The newly launched smartphone is expected to be offered in a single configuration, featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Out of the box, it runs on Android 13-based itelOS V13.0.0. This release marks Itel’s inaugural entry into the premium curved-screen smartphone market.
Itel S23+ Specifications: According to Itel, the Itel S23+ features a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with an impressive 93 percent ultra-high screen-to-body ratio. The display is safeguarded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is powered by a 12nm Unisoc T616 SoC and can be paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The Itel S23+ also incorporates support for virtual RAM technology, enabling users to expand their RAM by up to 8GB. It offers storage options of up to 256GB onboard.
The Itel S23+ has a dual rear camera arrangement with an LED flash and a 50-megapixel sensor for images and videos. A 32-megapixel sensor is located on the front of the device for selfies and video calls. For authentication, it has an in-display fingerprint sensor. A 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W cable charging is included in the Itel S23+.
The device will replace the Itel S23, which was revealed in India earlier this year. The latter has a Unisoc T606 processor and up to 8GB of RAM as well as 128GB of internal storage. It has an HD+ (720 x 1,612 pixels) IPS display with a 6.6-inch screen size, a 90Hz refresh rate, and a 180Hz touch sampling rate.
