A Sony IMX766 sensor is rumoured to be inside the Vivo V29 Pro 5G.
The Vivo V29 5G and Vivo V29 Pro 5G are anticipated to make their official debut later this month. Before the official unveiling, details about these unreleased Vivo V-series smartphones have surfaced online. It’s reported that they will feature a curved 3D AMOLED display with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Both the Vivo V29 5G and Vivo V29 Pro 5G are rumored to support rapid 80W charging. The Vivo V29 5G, powered by the Snapdragon 778G SoC, was initially introduced in select European countries in July.
According to information from industry sources reported by 91Mobiles, both the Vivo V29 5G and Vivo V29 Pro 5G will sport curved 3D AMOLED screens with a resolution of 1.5K, a 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR10+ certification. These models are expected to have a lightweight and slim design and offer speedy 80W charging. The standard Vivo V29 5G is said to feature an ISOCELL GN5 sensor, while the Vivo V29 Pro 5G may come equipped with a Sony IMX766 sensor.
For the Indian market, the Vivo V29 5G is likely to retain the same hardware and design features as the version launched in select markets earlier. It will be available in various colors, including Majestic Red, Himalayan Blue, Purple Fairy, and Space Black, and in three RAM and storage configurations: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 256GB.
The global version of the Vivo V29 5G runs Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android 13 and has a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED (1,260×2,800 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has 256GB of storage, 12GB of RAM, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. It contains three back cameras: an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 50-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS). There is a 50-megapixel front camera for taking selfies.
The Vivo V29 5G has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB Type-C port, NavIC, OTG, GPS, and NFC as connectivity options. An accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor are among the sensors aboard.
Its construction is water-resistant and has an IP68 rating. Additionally, Vivo included a fingerprint sensor in the display of the phone. The 4,600mAh battery in the worldwide model can enable 80W rapid charging.
