The model number SM-A055F for the Samsung Galaxy A05 was previously discovered on the Geekbench listing.
The Samsung Galaxy A04 is reportedly set to be succeeded by the upcoming Galaxy A05 smartphone. Recent leaks have unveiled the design renders, color choices, and some key details of Samsung’s new phone. The device is expected to be available in three different colors and may feature a dual rear camera setup. It has also made appearances on the Google Play Console and Geekbench websites with the model number SM-A055F. These listings suggest that the Galaxy A05 could be equipped with a MediaTek Helio G85 SoC and offer up to 4GB of RAM, although the latest report hints at a possible 6GB RAM variant.
According to MSPoweruser’s report, the purported Samsung Galaxy A05 will be offered in three colors: black, silver, and light green. The phone is anticipated to showcase a dual rear camera arrangement placed within two circular camera modules at the upper right-hand corner of the rear panel, with an LED Flash positioned nearby. Leaked images also indicate that the device is likely to feature a waterdrop notch display housing an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The rear camera setup on the Galaxy A05 may consist of a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. Additionally, the report suggests that the phone will be available in a 6GB RAM variant, accompanied by either 64GB or 128GB of storage.
These new details align with the specifications previously leaked through the Google Play Console listing, which hinted at a waterdrop notch display with HD+ resolution, a dual rear camera setup, and an LED Flash on the back. The listing also mentioned the presence of MediaTek’s MT6769V/WY processor, likely the Helio G85 SoC. The phone is expected to run Android 13 out of the box.
The Galaxy A05 is poised to succeed the Galaxy A04, which was launched alongside the Galaxy A04e in December of the previous year. The Galaxy A04 boasts a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, powered by a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and running Android 12 as its operating system.
