Osun Elections: The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested four people for crimes that may have involved vote buying during the governorship election in Osun State on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
The suspects are Yekini Nurudeen Abiodun, Jimoh Kazeem, Adeyemo Bahir, and Abidogun Ismail.
They were apprehended by EFCC agents at various polling locations after reliable information that they were exchanging votes for money in Osogbo, the state capital. With the exception of Abiodun, who was apprehended at Unit 2, Isale Agbara, Osogbo, the other three suspects were apprehended at Polling Unit 002, Ward 2, Ababu, Isale Osun, Osogbo.
The suspects will be charged in court once the ongoing investigations are completed.
In other news, Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State chose to congratulate Senator Ademola Adeleke, who was declared the winner, rather than study the results of the recently concluded gubernatorial elections.

Davido’s remarks follow Oyetola’s earlier statement, in which he urged restraint in his state and stated that he was still analyzing the election results that led to his defeat on Saturday.
The superstar artist wrote: “What you should be doing is calling to congratulate your successor. Forget studies.”
