The price of the smart home service has gone up by $20.
In a customer support email sent out on Friday, Google announced that the annual subscription cost for its Nest Aware smart home service will increase to $80. The previous cost was $60 per year.
The email to one Nest Aware client stated that “This new price will become effective on your next bill that occurs on or after November 6, 2023.” Your current benefits, including 30 days of event video history, smart alerts, and other useful features, will remain the same with your Nest Aware subscription, which will continue at the revised price.
The Google-owned smart home service called Nest Aware enables you to watch recorded footage from Nest cameras and doorbells.
The digital behemoth paid $3.2 billion for Nest, a maker of smart homes, in 2014.
According to the Google Nest support page, “Subscription prices can change to keep up with market shifts, which can include inflation and local tax updates.”
