The smartphone company said on Monday that the Vivo Y56 5G will now be offered in a new 4GB RAM and 128GB storage edition for a price of Rs. 16,999.
Earlier this year, the Vivo Y56 5G was introduced in India. It initially arrived in a single storage configuration with a starting price of Rs. 19,999. However, the company has now launched an additional storage variant of the Vivo Y56 5G, equipped with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. This new model is priced slightly lower than the previously released version, which featured 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The smartphone operates on the Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. It comes with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging.
The Vivo Y56 5G is now available in this new 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant at a price of Rs. 16,999, as announced by the smartphone company on Monday. This fresh variant is offered in two color options: Black Engine and Orange Shimmer. Interested users can make their purchase from the Vivo India website or through popular e-commerce platforms like Flipkart and Amazon. Meanwhile, the initial price of the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version of the smartphone was Rs. 19,999, but it was later reduced to Rs. 18,999.
The new variant retains the same specifications as the previous one, running on Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 and featuring a 6.58-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,408 pixels) LCD screen. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC.
In the camera department, it offers a dual rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor (with f/1.8 aperture) and a 2-megapixel secondary lens (with f/2.4 aperture). For selfies and video calls, it is equipped with a 16-megapixel sensor featuring an f/2.0 aperture.
The device is supported by a 5,000mAh battery that enables 18W fast charging. It has dimensions of 164.05×75.60×8.15mm and weighs 184 grams. The Vivo Y56 5G also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. For connectivity, it offers features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, OTG, FM radio, and a USB Type-C port.
