It is anticipated that the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC will power the iQoo 12.
The iQoo 12 series phones are anticipated to launch later this year, succeeding the iQoo 11 and iQoo 11 Pro. These previous models, released in China in December 2022, featured octa-core 4nm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoCs and supported proprietary fast charging solutions. While earlier reports had revealed some details about the base iQoo 12 model, a recent leak now provides key specifications for both phones in the iQoo 12 series, covering aspects such as display, camera, charging, and processor details.
According to information from tipster Digital Chat Station (translated from Chinese) in a Weibo post, the iQoo 12 series is expected to incorporate Samsung E7 AMOLED displays with 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Additionally, these phones are likely to have metal bodies, as suggested by the tipster.
Regarding the camera setup, the rumored quad-camera system for the iQoo 12 series is anticipated to include a 50-megapixel OV50H primary sensor and a 64-megapixel OV64B periscope lens, as per the leak. However, specific details about the telephoto, ultra-wide-angle, and front camera sensors have not been disclosed yet.
The standard version is expected to come with a 5,000mAh battery and support 100W wired fast charging. According to the leak, the iQoo 12 Pro model may offer an impressive 200W wired fast charging capability. Both phones are likely to feature an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C 3.x port.
