Jio AirFiber can be connected to an electrical outlet and will work as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
Reliance has introduced Jio AirFiber today, on September 19, in eight major Indian cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune. This wireless Internet solution was initially unveiled during Reliance Industries’ 46th Annual General Meeting (AGM) last month. Jio AirFiber offers users the capability to access the Internet at speeds of up to 1Gbps and provides access to over 550 digital TV channels and more than 16 over-the-top (OTT) apps.
Jio AirFiber, Reliance Jio’s newest wireless Internet service, is currently available in the aforementioned cities. It is a single wireless device that can be plugged into a power source and functions as a Wi-Fi hotspot. According to Jio, it enables TV and broadband users to upgrade to a top-tier home entertainment, broadband, and digital experience, all provided through a unified service. Jio AirFiber plans start at Rs. 599.
Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio, stated, “With JioAirFiber, we are expanding our reach to cover every home in our country rapidly, ensuring a consistent level of service quality. JioAirFiber will empower millions of households with premium digital entertainment, smart home services, and broadband, offering solutions in education, healthcare, surveillance, and smart home technology.”
As previously stated, Jio AirFiber subscribers will have access to over 550 digital TV channels and have access to over 16 OTT services, such as Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, JioCinema, SonyLIV, Voot Kids, Voot Select, and Zee5. It is asserted to offer Wi-Fi and high-speed Internet across the residential or commercial building. Without sacrificing Internet speed, multiple devices, including smartphones, PCs, tablets, smart TVs, and set-top boxes, can be connected at once.
Jio is also giving AirFiber subscribers a Wi-Fi router, a 4K smart set-top box, and a voice-activated remote free of charge.
Plans for Jio AirFiber
