During an interview with media figures Cookie Tee and Naa Ashokor on TV3’s Newday show on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, the “Case” hitmaker disclosed that he intentionally shaves all of the hair on his head since his hairline is receding and he doesn’t like his “V shape” or his “V shape.”
Mr. Drew is renowned for having a perfectly oval-shaped skull with a clean shave, which appears stunning when he wears eyeglasses. Although he had some hair before getting clean-shaven, commonly called as “sakora” or “santo,” most Ghanaians are ignorant of his previous hairdo because it was adopted before he rose to fame.
“I basically shaved everything because my hairline was receding and I didn’t like the V shape. You cannot rock a bald head if you’re not handsome”, he said.
He has released more incredible tracks, like “This Year,” a collaboration with the entrepreneur and rapper Medikal from Ghana, “Shuperu,” with Kidi, a Lynx Entertainment signee, and “Later,” with reggae-dancehall musician Kelvyn Boy, among others.
When he was a senior in high school, Mr. Drew began his career as a dancer before deciding to pursue music full-time.
His professional life began when he participated in and finished first runner-up in the MTN Hitmaker Season 6 in 2017.
Mr. Drew was signed in by Highly SpiritualMusic, which was created by music producer and engineer Kaywa, after the MTN Hitmaker.
But after five years of collaboration, he decided to leave the label because of unfavourable clauses that were later found in the contract.
The award-winning musician made the decision to give his income to Kaywa, the head of his old company, as a gesture of gratitude for Highly Spiritual Music by Kaywa.
In 2021, Mr. Drew released his debut album, ALPHA, which featured artists like as Victor AD, Seyi Shay, Kwabena Kwabena, Kelvyn Boy, Raybekah, and Kidi.
