The Vivo Y100 5G, which was released in February, will be replaced by the Vivo Y200 5G.
The Vivo Y200 5G, anticipated to be the successor to the Vivo Y100, has officially been confirmed for its India launch next week. Additionally, the company has teased the color choices available for the upcoming smartphone. Furthermore, key specifications and the expected price of the phone were recently leaked, and design renders of the handset have also surfaced online.
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has announced that the Vivo Y200 5G is scheduled to be launched in India on October 23. A promotional image associated with the upcoming launch provides a sneak peek at the phone’s appearance in two different color options. These colors align with those that were previously leaked. The phone is expected to be available in Desert Gold and Jungle Green color variants, as reported recently. The promotional image also confirms the presence of an Aura Light feature on the phone, which can be seen on the rectangular camera module situated at the top left corner of the rear panel, alongside the dual camera modules and an LED flash.
As for pricing, it’s been suggested that the Vivo Y200 5G will be available in India at a cost of Rs. 24,000. The phone is expected to come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Its display is reported to be a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) AMOLED screen, and it’s likely to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC. The phone is anticipated to run on the Funtouch OS, based on Android 13.
Regarding the camera setup, the upcoming Vivo Y200 5G is rumored to feature a 64-megapixel primary sensor equipped with optical image stabilization (OIS), accompanied by a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, it’s said to house a 16-megapixel front camera. The device may include a 4,800mAh battery with support for 44W wired fast charging. It’s estimated to weigh around 190 grams and measure 7.69mm in thickness.
