According to reports, the OnePlus 12 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
The upcoming OnePlus 12 is anticipated to be the next flagship smartphone from the Chinese brand. While OnePlus has not officially announced the launch date, there is already significant information available about the device. Recent reports from a Chinese tipster suggest that the OnePlus 12 will bring substantial improvements over its predecessor, the OnePlus 11. Notably, it is expected to include a USB 3.2 port and support 50W wireless charging. The device is also rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and sport a 6.82-inch curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
A tipster named Digital Chat Station on Weibo mentioned that the OnePlus 12 will feature a USB 3.2 port, a notable upgrade from the USB 2.0 port in the OnePlus 11. Additionally, it’s expected to support 50W wireless charging, which the OnePlus 11 lacked.
Furthermore, the tipster revealed that the OnePlus 12 will be equipped with an infrared sensor, allowing users to use the phone as a remote control for their TV. It’s also said to come with a periscope camera and run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, confirming previous leaks and reports.
Previous leaks have suggested that the OnePlus 12 will offer a 6.82-inch QHD+ curved LTPO display with a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels. This screen, manufactured by BOE, is expected to feature a 2,160Hz PWM dimming and a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is likely to sport a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48-megapixel ultra-wide telephoto camera, and a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B camera.
For selfies, the OnePlus 12 is expected to have a 32-megapixel front camera. It may also feature an alert slider and an in-display fingerprint scanner for authentication. The device could be equipped with a 5,400mAh battery with support for fast 100W wired charging.
