Samini is not enthused about the present World Cup theme song crafted for the Black Stars to facilitate their campaign at this year’s global showpiece which begins in a few hours’ time in Qatar.
Although this online portal is yet to listen to the songs which were reportedly composed individually by King Promise and Akwaboah, evergreen Ghanaian artiste Samini thinks the songs are far below standard.
Taking to Twitter, Samini did not mince words by revealing his disappointment with the songs he has heard so far while suggesting that he would have delivered a far better job if he had been contacted.
In a controversial post he shared on his official Twitter account that has since divided opinions online, Samini said;
“The new black starts song tho, do we have to learn it before the world cup? whoever chose it probably wrote it too. Eiiiii track na 3y3 ya saaa no! Hmmm. A few of us could have done a better job at that Chale anaa meeb)dam lol. but vim is still for the boys. Go Ghana”.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars have touched down in Qatar ahead of the 2022 World Cup which begins in two days’ time.
