Samsung Keyboard has been the default keyboard on Galaxy smartphones and tablets for years, but for most of that time, it wasn’t all that great compared to Gboard and other alternatives. The keyboard has been slowly improving, though, and now Samsung is rolling out another update that might reduce your typos.
Samsung Keyboard version 5.4.70.25 is now rolling out on the Galaxy Store, and according to the changelog, it’s a substantial update. The main change is an improved ‘Suggest Text Corrections’ feature, which was originally added to the One UI 4.0 system upgrade, and automatically corrects grammar and phrases with green underlines. Even if you have that feature off, the Samsung Keyboard update improves “typos that occurred often when using specific keys.”
This update fixes some issues with the Clipboard too, which displays your most recent clipboard items for easy access. Pasting with the Samsung Note app has been fixed, as well as a bug where the Clipboard wouldn’t appear with custom themes and dark mode.
Samsung Keyboard v5.4.70.25 is rolling out devices now through the Galaxy Store, so if you don’t have it already, it should appear soon.
