The Samsung Galaxy Ring’s multiple sensors are likely to produce more accurate observations than other health-tracking devices already on the market.
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is anticipated to hit the market by 2024. Samsung is considering gradually replacing other health-tracking devices, such as its smartwatches, with this innovative smart ring, which is claimed to provide more precise health monitoring. Previous leaks have revealed design concepts for this potential smart device, and the company has reportedly trademarked several names for the product. Although the official name has not been confirmed yet, a prominent tipster now suggests that it could become a major launch at the 2024 Galaxy Unpacked event, where the Galaxy S24 smartphone series is also expected to debut.
According to the tipster Ice Universe, who posted on Weibo, the smart ring is expected to take center stage at the 2024 Galaxy Unpacked event, possibly scheduled for January next year. Speculation has been circulating about Samsung’s smart ring for some time, with the possibility that it will eventually replace Galaxy Watch models as the primary health-tracking device offered by the South Korean tech giant.
Samsung has not officially announced the product or its name. However, recent reports have indicated that Samsung has secured trademarks for various names for this smart wearable. Possible names include Galaxy One, Galaxy Pulse, Galaxy Rhythm, Galaxy Index, Galaxy Insight, or Galaxy Circle.
According to a previous filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the rumored Galaxy Ring is expected to track, measure, monitor, and transmit health, fitness, and sleep-related data. It is also said to observe “biometric and physiological data, vital signs, and personal health records” to provide medical advice when necessary.
The smart ring is expected to incorporate multiple sensors along its interior, enhancing the accuracy of health data monitoring. A previous leak depicted the smart ring with a metallic finish. Notably, Boat recently launched its first Smart Ring, which offers various health-tracking features and comes in a single metallic Silver color, priced at Rs. 8,999 in India.
