The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is anticipated to make an early debut next year at a Galaxy Unpacked event, with the Galaxy S24 Ultra leading the charge as a productivity-oriented smartphone. While the official release date for the Galaxy S24 flagships remains a mystery, a reliable tipster has offered insights into the key specifications of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This upcoming device is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and could feature a quad rear camera setup, headlined by an impressive 200-megapixel primary camera. Furthermore, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to sport a 120Hz refresh rate display and durable titanium frames.
Renowned tipster Yogesh Brar (@heyitsyogesh) took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the purported key specs of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. According to the tipster, the smartphone will run on Android 14, based on One UI 6, and boast a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) display with a speedy 120Hz refresh rate. It’s rumored to be equipped with Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, an upgrade from the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC powering the Galaxy S23 series.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is said to feature a remarkable quad rear camera configuration, spearheaded by a 200-megapixel primary camera. The rear camera array is also expected to include a 50-megapixel telephoto lens, a third 12-megapixel sensor, and an additional 10-megapixel sensor. This 50-megapixel sensor represents a significant improvement over the 10-megapixel telephoto sensor found in the Galaxy S23 Ultra. For selfies and video calls, a 12-megapixel front camera might be in store. Like its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is rumored to house a robust 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.
Additionally, it is stated that Samsung used titanium frames for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The Galaxy S23 range and earlier versions in the Galaxy S series have an aluminium chassis.
In January or February of next year, the Galaxy S24 series is anticipated to launch officially. This time, the Ultra model reportedly has storage choices of 8GB RAM + 128GB and 12GB RAM + 256GB. The projected release of the Galaxy S24 Ultra is still many months away, so readers can anticipate that more intriguing information regarding the device will appear online in the following days.
